Meet Dee, aka Sweetbunny on Squidoo. She’s been inspiring us with her writing for just a couple of weeks now and already has a list of topics for future lenses. Enjoy getting to know her!
What brought you to Squidoo? My husband recently retired and he was looking for opportunities on the internet for part-time income. I happened upon Squidoo and thought he would enjoy it, so I encouraged him to write a lens. During the day while at work and in the middle of the night I found my self writing down ideas for a lens and decided to give it a try. I love telling stories, so it feels natural. Now I am addicted! We are thinking about collaborating on a lens or two, which I think will be fun.
You already have a great eclectic collection of lenses! Any new topics on your lens idea list that we can look forward to reading about? The notebook I mentioned above is now my constant companion. Some things I am ready to write about, others are not jelled yet, but I hope to be around for a while on Squidoo.
One particular story keeps popping in my head, it is about Apple Pie and a Bakers Rack. And it isn’t a recipe, just a sweet story I hope folks will enjoy.
A few years back, I was lucky enough to have time to volunteer at an Art museum that had a great educational program for its docents. From that rewarding experience I have a few ideas about art, artists, and history that I hope to share along with other real life experiences.
If you could travel to one place you’ve never been, where would it be? If only one big broad place, it would have to be Europe. I have never been out of the US, except for Canada and just barely in Mexico many years ago. You asked for one place and since Paris is on my weather widget, I will narrow it down to Paris, primarily for the Louvre. A side trip to Florence, Italy would be sweet.
What can Squidoo do for you? Squidoo is already doing so much for me, sparking a creative side, introducing me to new people, teaching me how the different internet sites connect in ways I had not imagined. It has become another of my muses. (a great stress reducer) And, of course, I would never object to a few extra bucks.
Cupcakes or muffins? Muffins, pumpkin, poppyseed, and blueberry are generally my preference. Except, if I happen to visit the California area, I hear there are some great Wine bars specializing in cupcakes, then I may have to change my mind.
