How did you find Squidoo? I found Squidoo through my research into affiliate marketing. I have actually used Squidoo before, although I have no idea what I did with my original account. However, I recall a number of things that I previously enjoyed about Squidoo (and still do) – How easy it is to get started, search engine love, great community and it’s definitely addictive once you get going.
You do a great job of adding a personal-story touch to your lenses. What topics can we look forward to reading in future lenses? Thank you. Well, I’m guessing whatever comes to mind. My background is finance and sales. I would call myself an amateur psychologist, I love working out and even spent 9 years of my childhood/teenage years as an amateur boxer. I love certain sports that perhaps aren’t as popular in the States as they are in many other places around the world, namely Cricket and Snooker.
I love cooking, playing with my two kids, taking long and adventurous walks, eating, laughing and enjoying the odd glass of wine or three. I would also say I’m a hoarder, as in I never throw anything away, and my wife is often driven mad by my need to buy “useless junk” as she likes to put it.
So, I’m guessing these topics will find their way into my lenses. So far, I have written about the “useless junk” that I love, so who knows what’s next!
If you could travel to one place you’ve never been, where would it be, and why? I have two… sorry, I forgot to mention I’m quite greedy as well. They would have to be Australia and South Africa. My long, adventurous walks allow me to be at one with nature and also provide me with time to think and daydream. So, I may as well do this in two of the most scenic and beautiful places on Earth.
What can Squidoo do for you? Pay for my trips to Australia and South Africa! Nah, just kidding, although I know many people do make a decent living from Squidoo, so you never know. Squidoo is a platform for me to express myself. It gives me an opportunity to research and study in more detail the topics that I love and then to share these with others in my own words.
I guess it’s also an opportunity to enjoy some adult “conversation” during the day (even if it is only online), as there’s only so much you can talk about Spongebob Squarepants and the meaning of life according to a four-year old.
Tots or fries? I hate you! For all of you Friends fans this question immediately reminded me of the Coffee Shop discussion the guys and girls had about Sex or Food. If they had to give up one, which would it be? Joey swayed between sex and then food, and then back to sex and again to food. In the end he decided he wanted “naked girls on bread”.
Well, in the same vein, I would like tots with fries sticking out of them! However, if you’re really going to push me for an answer it has to be fries (I’ll just have the tots afterwards when no-one’s looking).
