This is Ada, lensmaster Aibrean82 on Squidoo. She reveals a lot about herself in her bio and in her lenses, but you’ll learn even more from our recent interview. Enjoy!
How did you find Squidoo? I am living in Melbourne, Australia for a year and found that jobs are just as hard to find here as back home in Norway. Needless to say I have had a lot of time for surfing (the Internet, that is) and read other people’s blogs. On one of my mindless Internet adventures I landed on a blog which recommended Squidoo as a website where you could write and make money. I signed up immediately.
We know you love books, travel, and chocolate. What topics are next on your lensmaking list? At university I took classes in psychology, criminology, literature, art history, Celtic history, folklore and Gaelic (I also love animals, cooking and long walks on the beach). I guess you could say that my interests are many and varied, and the topics of my lenses will probably reflect that. I am currently working on a lens sharing my experience of walking the Camino de Santiago, which I did in 2011. Other topics on my list are the beautiful city of Venice and quite a few book related lenses.
We also know that you’ve traveled to Venice. What’s one place you’ve never been but would like to visit? Scotland! I have no idea why I haven’t been there. It has always been on my bucket list, and just talking about it makes my heart beat a little faster. I want to visit Edinburgh, go hiking and bird watching in the highlands, look for the Loch Ness monster, live in a castle and eat haggis. In that order.
What can Squidoo do for you? Though I initially signed up for the money I have since found Squidoo to be a wonderful platform for writers. We get to be creative and express ourselves, and the community is so friendly and supportive. I enjoy reading other people’s lenses and learning new things, and I refuse to believe I am the only one who gets a little kick out of every SquidLike and comment I receive!
Dark chocolate or milk chocolate? Yes, please! If I really need to choose only one I would have to say dark chocolate for drinking (with a pinch of chili powder – yum!), and milk chocolate for eating. Okay, so I still didn’t really choose…
