Vote for the 25th Squidoo Lens Theme!

Last week we asked lensmasters to come up with design ideas for our 25th lens theme contest.

We had a great response and it was more then a little bit difficult for Megan, Josh and I to narrow the list down to just 7 ideas (they were all fabulous)!

So now it’s your turn! Vote for the (one) theme on the list that you’d love to see Josh create into the 25th lens theme. Voting will be open all week and after we’ve tallied the votes Josh will craft the winning design theme idea using elements of the description submitted.

The winner will get:
1) To name the new theme that Josh designs.
2) Draft the Squidoo HQ blog post introducing the new theme.
3) Be the first person to use the new theme.

With 4th July coming up I think that a Stars & Stripes theme would be a great idea.
I would also like to see a similar one for the UK with the Union Jack, and I am sure people in Canada, Australia and New Zealand (don’t get those 2 flags mixed up) would love a theme for their lenses.

If you really only want people to vote for one, I would recommend changing the check boxes to radio buttons.

It was fun voting. The problem with the US Patriotic theme is that it rules out all other countries, yet your Squidooers (do you call us that? lol) are from various countries.

That was a difficult vote as I create lenses in most of the categories. LOL. Perhaps after the 25th theme is created, Josh will add on a few more when he has the time.

I think that, given the world-wide locations of squidoo lensmasters, a more earth/global related theme would be more representative than a patriotic U.S.A. theme. I voted for one of the category-related options for that reason. (and, for the record, I am a U.S.A.F. veteran and not opposed to a bit of flag-waving if and when appropriate. I just don’t see it being very helpful here.)
