Want to join the Squidoo Beta Pool and help test stuff?
This is a re-post from April 2011, with a small update. If you want to be in the Squidoo Beta Pool to be contacted about helping out with occasional testing, you can enter your name on the form below. If you already entered your name, I know it was quite a while ago, so feel free to re-enter it if you’re still interested in helping out. Thanks.
The Beta Pool
From time to time, before we release new features or bug fixes or other improvements, we need extra help and extra sets of eyeballs to make sure things are working correctly. We’re enormously grateful to lensmasters who are willing to volunteer a few minutes here and there to help us make Squidoo feature releases smooth and as bug-free as possible.
A few days ago we opened up this Beta Testers application, and overnight we had 200+ people offering their time and help. (You can still put your name in the pool, and we’ll pick people randomly when we have projects that need testing).
I just wanted to say thanks. Your generosity made my day.
December 12, 2011 update: We’re looking for a handful of testers this week. The project: Gil is working on some behind the scenes stuff which will give our developers a productivity boost, will help us stay on the cutting edge of backend tools, and will help us look after our servers a little more easily. Which, all said and done, means a more efficient Squidoo developer team, which always leads to a more efficient Squidoo! Testers would just need to poke around our test environment a little and make sure the site is working as usual, nothing unexpected happening. If you’re interested, throw your name in the Beta Pool and we’ll pick a few people at random to invite in via email.
