A club. About cupcakes! I’m serious.

Cupcakes are hot. Lenses about cupcake recipes or decorating tips or baking tins are fun to create and easy to share, especially when someone like Robin is in charge! (you know Robin, your Giant Squid Organizer and overwhelmingly generous and creative lensmaster).

As the prototype for our SquidClubs project and the Incubator we posted about earlier today, we worked with Robin to set up….

The Cupcake Club (on Squidoo).

It’s part custom lensbuilder (or ‘front door’), part Facebook community, part teaching challenge to help new lensmasters how to make cupcake pages, part attempt at Total World Cupcake Domination.

I had a blast making this Frosting vs. No Frosting debate lens for the Cupcake Club earlier this morning. Bonnie jumped in and made a lens about her…obsession…with Cupcake Baking Cup Collecting. And Robin, as the linchpin of the Club, already has dozens of mouthwatering works of art all about cute cupcakes.

So I have 3 questions for you:

1. What cupcake lens will you make? Wouldn’t you like to have it networked in with other relevant, well done, attractive cupcake lenses?
2. Can you think of anyone in your life who would get a smile out of the Cupcake Club? Cool. Send it to them.
