Run Amok!
Better yet, run abroad!
But the amok part is true enough; there were two fantastic lenses of the day recently that didn’t get highlighted here. And they’re more than worth seeing again.
I love lenses that are portals to other worlds. Especially when they are presented as first person experiences and histories. These lenses are thrilling travelogues both.
The first is Bournemouth: One Of England’s Best Seaside Resorts by lensmaster Poddys. He grew up in this little town and clearly put a lot of work and personal energy into this lens.
The next is by AndyPo about his time in The Rain Forests of Borneo.
What’s local and usual to you is guaranteed to be exotic to someone else. The world is far more textured, and close, than you think.
