Lens of the Day: My 17th-19th Century Native American Wardrobe

indianclothesMy 17th-19th Century Native American Wardrobe was created by WoodlandIndianEDU, who conducts programs about historic Native life-ways, and demonstrations of historic Woodland Indian daily activities for museums, powwows, cultural centers, and living history events.

She created the lens to share information about the historical period clothing she wears for her job.  Through photos of the actual outfits and informative narration this lens provides a fascinating look back in time for anyone lucky enough to find it.

This spectacular lens is a definite must-see. Make time to view it today!

You’ll have to excuse my stupidity. It’s a fantastic lens but it seems to have been built in June of last year. Why is it LotD 9 months later ? Or, to put it another way, why has it taken 9 months to become LotD ? I’m only asking so I know what I have to do (other than great content) to get a LotD. Thanks :)

There is nothing stupid about asking a question. Just keep creating great content. There are no hard and fast rules or time limits.

Thank you so much for making this lens LOTD – this has been a fantastic page for us, bringing in a steady flow of visitors daily, and has been getting a lot of attention on facebook for the last few months. It has been instrumental for us in explaining historic garments worn by post-historic Woodland Native Americans – very authentic to period but very unknown to the general public. Thank you again for the honor – I worked hard on this lens and am happy it has been recognized : )

Well deserved honor. Thank you for sharing a bit of your world and heritage with us.

I discovered this lens via the forums, last week I think. It’s one of the best lenses I’ve ever seen here on Squidoo – TOTALLY deserving of LOTD!
