Lens of the Day: Cinnamon Toast

I decided to make Cinnamon Toast this morning for a change and my family loved it. So of course after breakfast I went in search of a  Cinnamon Toast lens and found a really good one from .

Cinnamon Toast is super easy to make and with the many choices of Cinnamon on the market today a fun recipe to experiment with. I used Tone’s Ground Cinnamon but would really like to try an organic version next.

So if you’re looking for a treat for Sunday breakfast try this nostalgic favorite.

    I love cinnamon toast for breakfast! My other favorite is “Egg in a Nest” – that’s what we have for breakfast at least 3-4 times per week :) Off to check out the Cinnamon Toast Lens.

    I know by experience that Americans love cinnamon but apart form that I too love toast but not with cinnamon in fact my toaster has a love hate relationship with me.Let me explain one slot toasts quicker than the other, the timer sometimes works but most times it does not. So if you happened to be engaged in some other task the time you are using the toaster you can turn around to find that the kitchen full of smoke it follows that if you extract your toast without switcing off the toaster you will over heat the kitchen.     I grew up with cinnamon toast too, taking the sugar and mixing the cinnamon in a little bowl. Sprinkle on the toast, any excess could go back in the mixing bowl.

    My dad would take cinnamon toast and put it in a bowl and put milk over the top; milk toast. Dad loved it.

    As an adult I started having an acid reflux thing; fried foods, tomato pastes, apples and lo and behold cinnamon all no-no’s. I so enjoyed a nice apple fritter too. |8^(

    That’s fantastic Bonnie! You may wish to try Cinnamon ice cream, I had this in Grenada a few times as they specialise in Cinnamon and nutmeg production and it is really amazing.

    I like cinnamon as a spice but not too much just a sprinkle.In my home mom would put the stick while making steamed rice alongwith whole cloves,cardamoms and black pepper.All these together are known as garam masala or hot spices.The aroma makes the rice very delicious.I too cook rice in the same way.Folks why not try it.nice lens.
