Lens of the Day: Kitchen Knives 101

Buying kitchen knives is hard work. Kitchen knives are usually something you get for a wedding or housewarming present and then quickly forget about until they get dull or break. So when I found Kitchen Knives 101 by I was intrigued. Were there really better kitchen knives on the market? According to Joe that would be a resounding yes!

Joe (who is a professional chef) saw the need for a lens with good, straightforward information about kitchen knives. For instance I had no idea what the difference was between stamped and forged knives, or what “tang” was. I also had no clue which blade material was superior. Now I know.

So if you’re in the market for some new kitchen knives this is a must read before your make your purchase.

Kitchen Knives, who knew!  They are so expensive and really an investment recently we had a college student come to our station to try and sell us knives and we were all shocked by the prices and really knew nothing about them.   Great lens and great info.
