Were you a fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel or Firefly (or all of them!)? If so, then you know Joss Whedon and his brilliant mind. Well, Joss is back at it again, and this time is unique, as suits him. Joss has created the first ever superhero musical!

Lensmaster-about-town TheFluffaNutta has an awesome lens highlighting this quirky internet musical endeavour: Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. A sing a-long blog? Seriously? Yep, that and much more.

Dr. Horrible is going to be aired in 3 parts (each about 14 minutes long) on July 15th, 17th, and 19th, and it is only available on the show’s official website–and only until July 20th. TheFluffaNutta tells us that it was filmed in 6 days on a minimal budget and with Joss relying on family and friends and calling in many favours.

Dr. Horrible is a musical comedy in three parts, featuring the wannabe mad scientist Dr. Horrible (played by Neil Patrick Harris) bent on taking over the world. I remember well “Once More With Feeling” from Buffy and am excited to see this newest musical venture.
