Getting to know Celtic Music
I’m Irish-American. If loving a cold pint, the Galway Races, a good story, hard work and lots of laughter makes me stereotypical, so be it.
But what really floors me is the music. Traditional Irish music.
And there’s no way I can let a St. Patrick’s Day pass without spotlighting MobyD’s excellent series of Celtic Music lenses. This is an education, an exploration, and an appreciation of some outstanding talent in Irish music. (Scottish, too).
Here’s the starting point: http://www.squidoo.com/CelticMusic-Lenses
You’ll discover dozens of MobyD’s music lenses as you go — make sure to go off on lots of tangents and see everything the network he’s built has to offer. It’s like a Choose Your Own Adventure full of gorgeous music.
Just a few of my favorites along the way:

The Squidoo takeway tip from this is: Own your niche. Get enthused. Set up a network of lenses and create an experience for your readers. The more you set yourself up as the passionate expert (it’s okay if you’re not truly an “expert”) and reliably offer good, useful, human recommendations… the better you do.
Happy St. Pat’s, all.
