We Heart Our RocketSquids
Recently, our RocketSquid students were given some tips on creating holiday lenses, along with the assignment to make a Valentine’s Day lens of their own. We loved the results and wanted to use this last day of February to share a few of those new lenses and introduce you to their talented authors.
Ever wonder what it’s like on Valentine’s Day when your spouse has passed on? Lensmaster Tugee‘s family started a few years ago helping one widow, a neighbor, celebrate and now entertains a roomful every Valentine’s Day. Read about how this thoughtful, loving family makes sure that Widows Aren’t Forgotten.
Everyone loves treats on Valentine’s Day and HealthCoachJackie has one that you will definitely want to prepare year ’round, especially if you love chocolate or if you eat gluten and dairy free. The recipe for her Raw Chocolate Macaroons with Strawberry Hearts for Valentine’s Day is easy and looks and sounds more than delicious. She calls it a “minimally processed, ultra-sexy treat.” I think I’m in love!
RocketSquid student Micheleburke123 chose to focus on the origin of Valentine’s Day for her assignment lens. She teaches how to Let Your Heart Out for Valentine’s Day and that, “Love really is the answer and the more we give the more we will receive.” A good lesson any day!
RedHillGeneralStore suggests that we fill a few buckets for our special Valentines. These aren’t just any buckets, they’re Buckets for Love. Learn how to make a wonderful variety of gift buckets to treat your sweets from this crafty lens.
If you love poetry and beautiful photography, you’ll really enjoy My Picture Perfect Love Declarations, the assignment lens submitted by lensmaster and RocketSquid student WhiteSockGirl. She wrote these verses for her true love, a verse for each beautiful photo.
We end our roundup of Valentine’s Day assignment lenses on a fashionable note with a lens by fullofshoes. Valentine’s Day, The Perfect Day for Red High Heels proves that it’s okay to celebrate Valentine’s Day any day, especially if you love shoes (and what girl doesn’t?). To quote from the lens, “Red High Heels, Ooh La La!”
