MissMerFaery is the “Little Crafty Kids” Contributor on Squidoo

missmerfaeryToday we’re pleased to introduce you to MissMerFaery. She’s our “Little Crafty Kids” Contributor on Squidoo.

Tell us a little bit about your niche topic.
My niche is crafts for the under-fives, so everything creative you can think of to do with babies, toddlers and preschoolers – painting things, making things, sculpting things, you name it! I’ve got a 4-year-old daughter and 5-month-old son, so I’ve lots of inspiration from all the crafting I’ve done with my little girl since she was tiny, and lots more ideas for future crafting with my boy!

Tell us about the moment you fell in love with your topic. Was it an immediate thing or did it happen over time?
I’ve been in love with crafting since I rediscovered it in my twenties, and so it was a natural progression to want to craft with my kids. My daughter has inherited my creative genes, and absolutely loves delving in her craft jar every day to make something. Seeing the amazing things she can make, and the fun we have trying out new crafts, definitely made me fall in love with it at first sight all over again!

Who had the most influence in your life?
Probably my children, actually. They’ve helped me take more time to appreciate things, to not rush through life and to try out new things. Whether that’s to get out in nature and have fun, to be brave and do something scary, or not worry about whether I can do a craft or have the right materials or not – just delve in and get started! They’ve made me a happier, better person and remind me every day that you never stop learning or evolving alongside them.
