Tell us a little bit about your niche topic.
I’m the Health and Aging Contributor. it is a subject I have been interested in for a while now, as I am in that age group of be coming elderly.
I spend quite a bit of time keeping my body active by lot’s of walking, not running (bad knees) but that doesn’t stop me from not keeping my body mobile everyday.
I do watch what I eat to stay fit and healthy, as aging does have a few draw backs in what type of food you eat, like fats, rich spicy foods, also over eating, it’s better to have smaller meals more often if needed.
Avoid stress where I can, as my blood pressure gets a bit high at times, but I’m working on it as I don’t like pills.
Always reading magazines, even have a Google alert for human aging, which I receive two or three emails a week, looking for secrets that can delay or even reverse my aging process, it’s working, helps me to keep that young out look in life.
Tell us about the moment you fell in love with your topic. Was it an immediate thing or did it happen over time?
It’s been my interests for many years now, aging gracefully, never used color rinse in my hair, just start greying in the last five years, keeping up with the young ones, I learn a lot from them.
Just keep smiling, don’t forget to laugh, even at yourself if it warrants it, as laughter is one of the best and healthiest ways to see a new day.
Who had the most influence in your life?
My husband, he likes very much, how I look after my body, present myself to the public, respect other people, listen and help where I can.
It upsets him if I’m not healthy so that leads to my cooking being healthy and nutritious, in the process he is happy and healthy also, making us a happy couple looking forward to our golden wedding anniversary in a little under six years time.
