Amy-trumpeter is the “Game Night” Contributor on Squidoo

cogs_on_tzolkinToday we’re happy to introduce amy-trumpeter. She’s our “Game Night” Contributor on Squidoo.

Tell us a little bit about your niche topic.
My niche topic ‘Game Night’ means that I specialise in reviewing board games and card games. I love to play strategy board games on a weekend and in the evening. I’m also always on the look out for good game reviews and lenses about role playing games to give them a boost!

Tell us about the moment you fell in love with your topic. Was it an immediate thing or did it happen over time?
I have always loved playing games with my friends and my sister since I was a child. In my teen years, video board games were all the rage, such as Atmosfear. These then evolved to DVD board games!

Recently, I moved to Oxford which is a fantastic city for gaming. We go to Thirsty Meeples every week, which is the only Board Game Café in the whole of the UK. I also attend the ‘Meet Up’ group ‘Oxford on Board’.

When I saw the ‘Game Night’ contributor spot on Squidoo, I immediately thought it was made for me!

Who had the most influence in your life?
The most influencial author for me has to be Jeff Olsen. He wrote ‘The Slight Edge’ which is a personal development book that has really influenced me in a positive way. Every small action that you do will place you on the success curve or the failure curve. Compounded over time, lots of small positive actions will lead to success.
