It’s no secret that Squidoo is a great place to promote a cause. Seems that new lensmasters figure that out pretty quickly, too. In fact, many newbies come to Squidoo for the express purpose of writing about a cause, a disorder, an organization, or another similar topic that is close to their hearts.

Abcchapelhill wants to use Squidoo to help provide seniors and their families with information that they need. He’s off to a quick start with several lenses including 5 Ways to Keep Elderly Minds Sharp.

Jennifer-_32 hopes her Squidoo lenses can help to get the word out about animal rights. She’s off to a very passionate start with her Chickens Raised For Eggs Deserve Better Than Factory Farms lens.

Afteretc also has a heart for animals, as she demonstrates with Trap Neuter Return – How to help feral cats in Chicago. My hope is to spread the word about the detrimental effects of two very popular flavor enhancers, MSG and Aspartame, which are found in everything from food you buy in the grocery store every day to fast food restaurants that use tons of it, like McDonald’s.

I think if more people knew about these two chemicals and the potential harm they can cause an otherwise healthy body, they would avoid them at all costs and the population would be healthier in general.

I wish I could shout it from the rooftops and have everyone actually hear me. The facts contained in my Squidoo lens about these two chemicals need to be put out there so that people can make educated choices about what kind of food they eat for better health.

Wonderful lens Susan. Squidoo is one of the best ways to advertise and also to promote awareness to causes since it has plenty of users. Also, the squidoo community is known to help causes.
